Opinions on the slow release of Figma component library updates

Xin_Du

When Figma publishes a component library for large files, the waiting time for publishing is particularly long, which can easily result in disconnection during the publishing process.

I suggest optimizing the functionality of publishing component libraries for large files in Figma.

Hey @Xin_Du, thanks for the feedback!

We’re aware that publishing large libraries can definitely be a slow process and even fail if the process exceeds our available memory limit.

As a workaround, whenever you’re getting stuck while publishing, we always suggest manually selecting a batch of components, publishing those and then repeating. You should only need to run this batch publish on the first round and from there so long as you don’t change every element at once, you should be able to publish without having to break up the process.

Hello Figma, regarding updates: the issue is that when I update, I can't see what has changed. I only see the cloud icon and a circle on the file tab. Would it be possible to view more details (perhaps by clicking on the cloud icon) about what has been updated? Thanks ðŸ˜Š
