It would be nice to be able to have a fixed background position inside scrolling sections.
For myself, the end goal would be te be able to create CSS shaders by overlapping scrolling images (specular maps, alpha masks etc) over fixed gradients (examples).
It would also be useful to create layered depth, and can be a first step towards easier parallax prototyping with scroll speed fine-tuning
