Edit Gradient Colors via 'Selection Colors'

You can edit gradient colors in Figma by selecting the object with the gradient fill, then accessing the fill properties in the right-hand panel. From there, you can adjust the gradient stops and colors as needed. Thanks, I am aware of all of that. I guess I may not be expressing the issue well. To try to say it a different way: it is currently a blocker to have to go into the gradient tab in the fill or stroke panel in order to edit the colors. What I am suggesting is that for a given selection, the color in each gradient stop should appear under ‘Selection colors’ in the lower right hand side, and be editable directly. This would be far better than the current MO that treats the gradients as swatches. Another issue here is that we mostly ever need brand colors in the gradient (i.e. a predefined style), not a raw hex code, so why not bring all the normal editing & variable/style workflows and abilities to gradients? Yet another reason to do it: in CSS, front end devs can use a variable (custom property) as a gradient stop. Figma should have parity.

I think you explained it totally fine the first time. I came here to also vote for this. Surprised it’s not in Figma yet. Basically makes working with gradients unusable (or at least really annoying) in any kind of larger design system kind of way.

This annoys me every day. If I edit a color via “selected colors” section, and that color is also used as a gradient stop, then 99% of the time I also want that gradient stop to change as well.
