I will use my monitor as the main display for my MacBook Air M3, connecting it with a type-C to DisplayPort adapter. The monitor will have its own power source. My speakers, mouse, and keyboard will connect through a separate USB hub. The MacBook will stay plugged in for charging all the time, but I will use AlDente software to keep the battery charged only up to 75%. This way, the MacBook will run on power from the adapter without charging the battery. I have turned off Apple’s optimized battery charging. Is this setup safe?
