Currently, in Figma, smart animate only works on opacity, color fill, stroke, position, width&height. The options at your disposal when making an interactive prototype are pretty limited.

It would come in handy if Figma can expand the supported animatable properties to include: Radius, Effects (shadow spread), VectorNetwork, Polygon Ratio, Ellipse Sweep, Dash, etc.

This feature is available in powerpoint - how is it not in Figma 🤦🏼

I strongly back this request

+1 to this request — particularly Ellipse Sweeps

This doesn’t have to be perfect. An MVP would be super useful: the user duplicates an object, manipulates one of the nodes in the copy, and just wants to interpolate between the two.

We’d understand if Figma throws up an error at the slightest discrepancy between two vector objects. We know we need 1:1 vertex correspondence in order for animation to work at the node level.

Now that iOS 26 supports stretch text, Figma will probably have to update soon too.
It's honestly pathetic that they've ignored such a basic and persistent user request for so long.
