When I write create long paragraphs with text tool on the Figma I get the unnecessary spaces on edges of the paragraph like below.

But I think if there a hyphenation feature (like Adobe Photoshop) it could add dashes automatically on the texts and fix this issue.

So, what do you think about this feature feedback?

Please add it!

Please, please, please! I have to deal with beautiful words like Nahrungsergänzungsmittel (food supplements) – and oh boy, do we love long words! This feature would be a godsend.

Figma any news about this feature????
I love figma, but you have so many basic features missing on text:
1 - Hypernation
2 - Text boxes linked with one another. or that can be split in columns.

PLEASEEEE HELP US OUT HERE

New Hyphenation feature added to Nisa Text   plugin (https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/739048247603902878/nisa-text).
Check it out.

We need hypenation for text fields with variables especially when dealing with multiple languages

I hope this feature gains more attention now, especially now that Figma Site has launched, it really highlights the need for it. Right now, I’m stuck with an overly long word in a hero section headline. The only workaround is reducing the font size. Ouch.

2025 and still no automatic hyphenation…. It’s a CSS Code guys

You’ve integrated AI tools faster than a simple on/off switcher for this purpose, please add this for the next cycle of features

Its quite incredible, how you ignore the community for 4 years while implementing AI features a lot of people don’t want or need. This is about the core functionality of Figma, you could beat the competition to it, draw all these inDesign Users in and so on. I guess the PMs have finally taken over for good?

I have been waiting for this feature since i began using Figma years ago. Still waiting and counting.

OMG, this really wanted tool still ignored by Figma.
