Video settings have a dedicated button when not in Design Mode. When in Design Mode this button is nowhere to be found. So if I want to adjust the settings of a video I must get out of Design Mode first. Is that intended?

Resurfacing this, video settings are NOT visible in Design Mode, why? This menu only shows in the not Design mode ( no clue how it’s called haha)

Hi
I brought this to the Slides team, and this is expected behavior. The primary reason is that in Figma Design, video settings are only shown in the Prototype tab, not Design. Since Figma Slides doesn’t have a Prototype tab, we don’t surface video settings in Design mode, for ease and consistency.
Thanks for your answer
Strongly agree — I’ve been switching back and forth between design and slides mode to get it right.
Also, the defaults are the exact opposite of what I usually need (autoplayed, loop, no controllers). Is there any way to set that as a preference somewhere?
Hey All, thanks for the feedback!
I’ve updated this topic into a feature request and passed it along to the Figma Slides team for future consideration.
These video settings UX issue is annoying us DAILY. Figma Slides really need some love, it hasn’t received any useful updates these past months…
