I’ve already started using the new slots and I find them amazing, but I think it’s very limiting to prevent the use of grid layout.

Will the grid layout be available within the new Figma Slots before the end of the Beta?

Hello everyone! I’m happy to tell you that slots is now rolled out to all Full seat users. If you're unable to access the feature, refresh the design file and check if you have edit access to it.
If you do not see the feature after that, please reply or PM me so I can have someone take a look. Enjoy!
How does Slots not support Grid Layout is beyond me! Seriously… Please implement features properly.
Hi folks! 🤠 I found a simple, not-too-hacky workaround for now. Wrap your Grid frame with an additional frame and then convert the outer one to a Slot. It works perfectly, but it does sort of undermine the Slot property in the properties panel, since you wouldn’t want to actually add anything there. Hope this helps!

thanks, this does “work” and makes it at least behave like desired, but sadly no long-term solution as this is basically a detached component without tokens :/
Figma, please add support for grid, why would you remove it anyway???
