Is it possible to obtain a free subscription to the Professional package for non-profit organizations, and what evidence is required for this?

Thank you for your response!

Hi there! While we’d like to help, our policy is that we don’t offer discounts or free credits at any level.

However, we’ll go ahead and pass your feedback up to the team so they can consider adding a cheaper plan in the future. Thank you!

This is a really important feature for educators and students alike. Please add a free plan for education.

Hey @Nelson_Vassalo , if you are a student or educator, you may qualify for Figma’s Education plan (free plan).

In order to have a free Education Plan, you’ll need a verified education status. Please check directly our guide for more information:

Providing free license to Non Profit organization is very essential and mostly common in the software industry. I hope you will consider it.

Dear Figma!

Unfortunately, we’ll have to cancel.
We are a non-profit organization, and the dollar exchange rate is very high in Brazil.

Other software companies provide us with discounts or free access.
We’re hoping you can also join this generous community :)

Thanks for the feedback!

We'll pass your suggestions along to our team for consideration regarding future options.

In the meantime, feel free to utilize our free plan.

Thanks again!

Dear Figma,

We know your tools and features are so amazing, thats why we are asking a discount price /seat for our Nonprofit Organization.

To be honest, your free account gave us impacts about awareness of use of drugs and it’s potential healthy problems in our country, mostly for teens.

So please try to considering about discount subscriptions for Nonprofits.

Thank you.

Hey Figma team!

Any updates in offering a free plan for nonprofits? Many of them could really benefit from using Figma but often don’t have the budget so they have to choose free solutions. By offering this, you’d be helping organizations that are making a difference, and in return, you’d build a lot of goodwill and brand loyalty from communities working on impactful causes.

It could be a great way to support meaningful work and showcase Figma’s commitment to creativity for all!

Hello, I'm very interested in this subscription offer as it would be extremely beneficial for a project I'm involved with at our non-profit. I would appreciate any additional details or guidance on how to proceed. Thank you. ❤️

Hello, Figma team,

I’d like to add my voice in support of a free or discounted subscription for nonprofits. Organizations like the one I work for are dedicated to making the world a better place. Personally, I work with children and people struggling with addiction. These groups can’t afford expensive services, yet they still need websites and other digital tools to keep up with the 21st century.

By making Figma more accessible to nonprofits, you’re helping us save time and money—resources we can then use to support those who need our help the most.

Thank you for considering this! ❤️

Martina

Non Profit Discounts would be fantastic.  I work for a non profit that supports those in need and marginalized groups.  We use deeply discounted software as well as some free licenses for a lot of the software and applications we use.

Figma, So many tech companies offer nonprofit rates.  Why not Figma?  You can do better.

What's sad is I have been instructed to review Miro, Lucid, Canva, UXPin, Axure, etc.  All of which offer either a free or 50% at a minimum for Non Profits.  We would rather use Figma and FigJam.

I have my own Figma Professional license for me personally for some personal projects and really like it.  Seeling into my non profit Org for adoption is the challenge.

Figma does not offer a free Professional plan for non-profit organizations. The Education plan provides free access to Professional features, but eligibility is limited to students and educators at accredited institutions, not non-profit entities.

For non-profits, Figma's standard pricing applies. If you're interested in discounted rates or exploring other options, consider reaching out to Figma's support team directly for assistance.

I’ll add my voice in as well. We are a small non profit that helps supply resources to hunger relief organizations across our state and country. A free plan for non profits would be a huge help for us as we cannot otherwise afford a subscription. Ultimately any help you could send our way would ripple out into the world of hunger relief, ultimately helping get food into the hands of those who need it most.

I too want to stress the importance of supporting nonprofits with software subscriptions like other SaaS products. We currently have a free Canva acct for nonprofits but we need vector software, budget has to prioritize serving our participants so no room to pay the steep monthly fees no matter how much we would like to be able to. Adding nonprofits access like the Student and Educator program would be so appreciated! !

Nina Planinšek

I really hope you will be able to join others in the software industry and help us, in the non-profit sector out 😣

while I am currently eligible for the student discount, some in my nonprofit aren’t, and I would love to be able to use Figma as a nonprofit

As a nonprofit, we reached out to the Figma sales team last year (2024), and received a free Figma subscription via their educational license.  In September of this year (2025), we were asked to verify our educational status, which we were unable to do, since we are a nonprofit and not a student or educational institution.

After several unhelpful chats, and two unanswered emails with support, their educational department responded to our email, telling us: they can’t help.

If Figma decides they don’t want to support nonprofits, we feel disappointed, but that’s their decision to make as a company.  What’s challenging for us is that in our first sales inquiry in 2024, we were immediately given a free subscription as a “qualified educator” and after less than a year, there is no longer a free subscription for nonprofits(?)

Although we appreciated the receive free subscription, had anyone at Figma communicated to us that we would not have been able to renew it this year, we wouldn’t have wasted our time and money putting our files into their platform.

Figma, PLEASE at minimum offer nonprofits a discount and consider doing what many other software companies do for nonprofits: give us a free subscription!

That was someone internal being “nice.” I’ve approached them before on behalf of a NPO and we were told to pound sand. They are as greedy as Adobe yet Adobe at least has non-profit accounts.

To all of us Nonprofits seeking discounts,

What if we collaborate as group?  We could contact TechSoup and GoodStack and see if either of them would be champion our requests.  It seems Figma doesn’t seem to care enough about our industry to take action per our individual NGO’s.  Perhaps we’d have more persuasion if it came one of those services?
