Figma has to be one of the worst pieces of software every created by humans. Seems promising and then the amount of frustration and time you waste using it becomes unimaginable.
Mobile app sucks so much and is so slow and sluggish on iOS that I cannot use it for more then 2 minutes before wanting to just delete it off my phone.
How can the Figma team be so terrible at their jobs?

I hear you, and I understand that the earlier steps may feel like too much to go through. The in-app report is the most reliable way for our technical team to gather the necessary details but to make this easier for you, I’ll go ahead and create a support ticket on your behalf with the email linked to your Figma account.

If you can, please include in the case:

  • your device model (iPhone model)
  • your iOS version
  • a brief description of what happens before the slowdown/crash

This will allow the team to investigate without needing the in-app report. For reference, your case number is 1622020, please check your inbox via your email address: lxxxxxxe@agxxxxa.cxm, thank you!

Hi @Lawrence Grigorescu , sorry to hear how frustrating this has been for you! What you’re describing definitely isn’t expected behaviour, and we want our technical team to take a closer look at the performance issues you’re seeing on iOS.

To help us investigate, could you please submit a bug report directly from the mobile app? Here’s how:

  1. Open the Figma app

  2. Tap your profile icon (in the top right) to open Settings

  3. Select Help

  4. Turn on “Toggle shake to report”

  5. Reproduce any slow or sluggish behaviour

  6. Shake your device

  7. Select “Report a bug”

  8. Make sure to select the checkbox “Do you want Figma Support to contact you about this issue?” and complete the form

This will send the logs and device details our team needs to investigate the performance problems you’re experiencing.

Feel free to DM me the email address linked to your Figma account, and I can escalate the case internally when you have submit a bug report, so it gets looked at more quickly.

Thank you for taking the time to report this, we want to make sure we get to the bottom of it!

I cannot go through these 100 steps to try to reproduce your buggy application behaviour. Sorry.

Does it matter what model iphone I have? It’s one of the latest models, 15 with the latest iOS.
Your Figma mobile app is sluggish, barely moving when loading my prototype design and is making the experience feels terrible. The fact that you are asking me all these questions and of course you’re probably not testing this properly on your end because of the legacy way you’re doing things tells me Figma doesn’t have much time left. You’ll be replaced soon by some AI-first app. Your stock  is the perfect reflection of where this is going.

Thanks for the follow-up. I understand how disruptive it is to experience sluggish performance, especially on a recent device like an iPhone 15.
The reason we ask about the device and iOS version is to help the engineering team accurately reproduce and investigate the issue, as performance can vary by setup.
I know the extra questions aren’t ideal when something isn’t working, but the secure form is the quickest way to get this in front of the right team and move things forward. Thanks for your understanding.
