I just want my toolbar on the top of the page……
Also I dont see an eraser with this draw feature? got really excited at first thinking that I can draw lines and erase sections like procreate or photoshop… but It was such a let down.
Can we please get it deployed to the Ipad app?
Why is there is a separate “draw” mode. Enhancing the drawing tools is nice, but this is an odd way to do it.
I have no idea how to use shape builder. There are absolutely no indicators that help guide its use.
What I really need are more advanced prototyping functions, not freehand sketching tools. I’ve been needing a way to build drag and drop interactions for as long as I can remember.
Totally agree. Amazing update but what's the point if we can't draw on iPad..
So I got very excited this morning when I saw the new Draw functionality within Figma, but when I wanted to try it out in the iOS app, I discovered it's not available.
I always start my design process by quickly sketching rough ideas, and I now have to use FigJam for that, which means I can never have my full design process in 1 file - I have to switch to Figma when I want to start making more detailed wireframes. This is quite annoying because I lose overview.
I was really hoping to be able to finally sketch and design in the same file, will the Draw functionalities also be made available for the iOS Figma app?
A scrollbar in the brush window is missing. Or a different way to choose brushes. I’m using a Wacom tablet as mouse (no scroll wheel), and when I’m connected to an external monitor, it’s impossible for me to see all brushes. If you’re gunning for Illustrator users who is into drawing by hand, be sure to cater for us with pen tablets.
Testing out the Draw features and I’m a little shocked dthe option to join paths] is still missing! Especially since Figma seems to add extra vector points on some shapes compared to Illustrator. It makes it difficult to simplify paths when needed.

This new update is a beast, having draw, design, & dev mode all on one tool bar is a game changer. Hats off to Figma.
I use Figma to help me make comics, mainly lettering but occasionally logo design. I’m working on a comic right now which will benefit from the updates brought with Figma Draw. I decided to try using the new noise feature for the logo, which works pretty well but it’d be great if there was a setting to make the noise punch through the layer to reveal what’s behind.
This example has a solid colour behind which would be easy to fix, but I plan to use it with artwork which would be much more difficult to do.

I want to start by saying how much I love Figma.
It’s completely changed how I design and collaborate. With the introduction of Figma Draw at Config 2025, it’s clear that Figma is moving into serious territory as a true Illustrator competitor. And honestly, you’re really close to making it my only vector tool.
But there’s still one key feature missing that keeps me holding onto Illustrator: the Curvature Tool.
Illustrator’s Curvature Tool lets you draw smooth, flowing curves by simply clicking points. You don’t have to deal with Bézier handles or drag to adjust curves. It’s fast, intuitive, and it keeps me focused on the shape I want to create instead of managing control points.
I’ve tried so many other vector apps like Affinity, Inkscape, Amadine, and they all default to the traditional Pen Tool model. Figma’s current tools do the same. Every time I bring up the Curvature Tool in forums, I get told to just get better at the Pen Tool. But I don’t think the answer is to accept a harder tool. We create better software by finding more intuitive ways to work.
Figma already excels at removing friction. That’s why I love it. It’s the best tool I’ve used in years. And I want to go all-in with it. But the Curvature Tool is the one thing keeping me from fully letting go of Illustrator.
Please consider adding it to Figma Draw. I think it would be a huge help to illustrators, motion designers, and visual thinkers who just want to draw and iterate quickly without wrestling with handles.
Thanks for listening.
I can’t stress enough how incredible and important having an iPad version would be. You can literally just enable the normal version of Figma on the iPad app, with the addition of double-tap to undo. (like in FigJam). And then, later down the line, maybe pressure sensitivity and all the new functions of the Pencil Pro.
Text on paths is such a simple but HUGE win lots of talk about headline AI features etc but it’s the small details that make this such a good update
Native/built-in texture, noise, and progressive blurs are super welcome too Figma out here quietly dropping bangers...
word spacing when???

Is this tool a patent for Adobe maybe?
I ran into this limitation where the number of allowed repeats (counts) is capped at 40. For example, when creating a watch face with 144 markers, this feature doesn’t allow it. I’d be truly grateful if this limit could be reconsidered and increased
Wow, I genuinely never even considered that possibility.
It would be really disappointing if that’s the case. Not to get political, but there are definitely things that governments allow to be patented that probably shouldn't be. Tools like this, simple, intuitive features that improve usability, should be accessible across the industry.
That said, I did reach out to the team at Amadine about this exact issue, and they mentioned they're working on a “curvature-like feature.” If that’s true, it might support the idea that Illustrator’s tool is patented, depending on how you interpret their wording.
I’m definitely going to look into this more. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Resizing anchor point groups ruined?
Before, I used to edit my icons directly in figma. Now, I can't! What I would do, usually is just to paste a vector from another image, select the anchor points and resize. Voilá! It would work. Now, since the update I can't resize the group. It's so much more complicated to do that. The alternative is to ungroup, do it outside, then paste, etc.
Progressive Blur SVG Export
Progressive blur is great, but I must note it is apparently not supported on SVG export?
I am not sure if it can be added to SVG. If it is possible, it would be amazing.
If it isn’t, though, please add a prominent warning in the effects window or SVG export flow, because this breaks one of the key features of Figma — your SVG looks precisely the same way it does inside Figma, all in vector.
I really hope introduction of this effect won’t start turning Figma into Adobe Illustrator, half of the effects in which lead to rasterization on export without any warning.
Is there a way to add custom fonts to Figma Sites? I work with a custom Adobe Font all the time in prototypes and internal files. I tried using the same components to create a Figma Site, but the font is not loading. All the text is showing up in Helvetica instead.

Thank you. Is it possible to add fonts with CSS @import rules? Or is that not supported yet either?
I would like the ability to snap the pen tool to any point on any shape or frame.

Adobe provides an embed code. I don’t think the “font installed on your computer” is addressing this. I’m having the same issue. I’ve installed the adobe embed code in the “start of head” field under site/general. It’s not working for me.
It tried to add the font that way as well and it’s not a naming issue in my files, the font is not loading. I can’t see it in the networks fonts, or any font at all.
What’s odd - is that it almost seems to be working. The Font shows up as being specified when I inspect. The font in this case is “Industry:Black:
First off, I love the new Draw mode. It's a revolutionary addition for those of us working with graphic design in Figma. That said, I have one piece of feedback from a UX perspective.
During my workflow, I completely forgot I was in Draw mode. It took me a while to realize why things weren’t behaving as expected, and I struggled to locate how to exit the mode. The current visual cues are quite subtle, and there’s not a strong enough indicator that you’re in a distinct mode.
As someone who works with graphic design in Figma every day, I think making the mode more visually distinct or adding a more prominent persistent indicator would really improve the experience. Something like a clear banner, mode badge, or even a more obvious highlight in the UI could make a big difference.
Overall, Draw mode is an incredible feature, but I believe the UX around entering and exiting it could be refined to reduce confusion.
