Annotations Positioning

Introducing annotations is great, they’re super helpful ✨

That said, the lack of flexibility when it comes to their positioning is quickly counter intuitive. They end up overlapping with other elements, which can make designs harder to read and manage—especially when multiple annotations are stacked in the same area.

It would be incredibly helpful to be able to manually drag the annotations component to reposition it (e.g. top, bottom, left, or right of the target element), while still maintaining their link to the relevant object.

Thanks for the feedback @Cynthia Sarkis! We’re continuing to work on improvements to this, and I’ll get the feedback over to the teams that have a hand in annotation development :D

We have the same issue, it’d be great if there was a thumbnail view by default (like on the comments), and they expand by clicking them. Or a way to put them all to this smaller view, rather than just hiding them completely.

Hi there! Have you heard back from your teams yet on feasibility? This tool is so easy to use, but the lack of positioning means I have to accommodate the rest of my documentation around it.

I’d love the annotation tool (or something like it) to replace my documentation components one day, but I’d happily take annotation positioning for now! 😅

Thanks!
