So I recently started using Figma and I generally love it.

However a few things are starting to feel annoying and clunky, especially because I am used to something better.
Technical Context:
- Browser (Firefox) on PC

Try using miro.com because the do a few things very well:

  1. Right-click & hold => Moving around. No need to switch the mouse mode just to move around. (Yes there is the middle mouse button but the usability of that is highly dependent on the mouse model and most mouses I used till now have a good scroll functionality but not middle mouse click, let alone holding the click.
  2. Resizing Text: In miro there is a redundancy where you can resize the font-size by resizing the box the text is in automatically. Now I have to click select the text box and have to find the small font-size option and try out various sizes till I am finally satisfied. Also the typography settings are like low on the list of settings. I would switch them with position because I do Positioning with the mouse most of the time.
  3. Resizing in general is just a lot more smooth in miro, since I can also select a group of element in miro and when resizing with the mouse, all elements resize WITH their parent. Now I have to select every single element when I want to resize something, even when grouped.
  4. Layering is also quite annoying. Every application I know has an option to send an element back or in front by one layer. In figma I have only found sending to background or in the front of everything. Meaning I had to delete and recreate a few elements because they are either in front of everything or not visible at all.

Oh and when copying an element and pasting it at mouse location would be very nice too.

I got confused first when copy& pasting because it got pasted at the same position as the original so visually nothing changed.
