Problem witch MCP server

Hello!

 

I am trying to use MCP server. I have got account witch proffesional plan on, newest version of Figma Destkop App (just reinstalled). When I try to start MCP server, I get red error: 

 

 

 

Can you help me please?

Hi ​@Grzegorz_Liputa , thanks for flagging this and sorry to hear you're running into issues with the MCP server!

Since you're on a Professional plan, please double-check that you're assigned a Dev or Full seat, as that’s required to use this feature.

If that’s all set and you’ve already installed the latest version of the Figma desktop app, make sure MCP is enabled by going to the Figma menu in the upper-left corner of your Figma file → go to Preferences → and select Enable Dev Mode MCP Server. You should see a confirmation message once the server starts successfully. More information in our guide to the Dev Mode MCP Server here.

If the issue still persists, I’d recommend reaching out to our support team so they can take a closer look: Submit a bug report. Just be sure to use your Figma email account and mention the steps you've already tried, thank you!

I have exactly the same issue, currently i have dev seat.

Hey Edgardo Ramoz Hernandez, I took a look on our end. This issue can sometimes happen if your device is preventing the desktop app from launching the local server. This could be due to a firewall or some other restrictions on your network. 

 We suggest reaching out to your IT department or systems administrator to unblock Port 444 and adding the following domains to your network's allowlist for GET and POST requests:

  • *.figma.com
  • *figma.site
  • *-figmaiframepreview.site
