I’m not sure if this is related, but I just upgraded to OSX Tahoe and now I can’t add additional accounts to the Figma desktop app. When I try to add an account through the web browser, the app either crashes, or it keeps saying “It expired, try on desktop app,” and then crashes. How can I fix this?
I just logged out the main account and seemed like I can’t log back in to the app at all. The browser just crashes over and over.

Hi @Dongting_Ma ,

I understand you have multiple Figma accounts and are running into issues when trying to log into additional accounts from the Figma desktop app.

Some customers have reported performance issues after upgrading their MacBooks to macOS Tahoe, and our engineering team is currently investigating this.

I’ve also added this post to the relevant internal report so the team can track and review it.

In the meantime, could you try disabling an experimental flag in Chrome/Chromium browsers (Experimental prediction for scroll events) to see if that helps? One of our community members mentioned this alternative solution in the following post:

Thanks,

Hi, I disabled the Experimental flag followed the instructions on the post, but it doesn’t fix the issue. Funny enough, I have another macbook air with same setting - OSX Tahoe, Chrome browser, but Figma on this computer works totally fine as I added 3 accounts to Figma desktop app without any issues. So I am not sure if it is the Chrome.

It shows there is an error on the app, so I think it is an issue from Figma. See the screenshot.

Hi @Dongting_Ma

Thanks for following up. Could you please walk through the troubleshooting steps below?

  1. Confirm your App version
Please check whether the Figma Desktop app showing this error is running the latest version (version 125.8.9).

  2. Reset Figma App
After confirming you’re on the latest version, click “Help” in the Apple menu bar, then select “Troubleshooting > Reset Figma and Restart” to see if there’s any difference.

  3. Check your network
Is the Mac that’s having login issues connected to the same network, with the same settings, as the one that can log in without problems?
If not, try connecting to the same network as the working Mac.
Also, are you using any VPNs, firewalls, or proxies? These can sometimes interfere with the connection to Figma, so try temporarily disabling them to see if that resolves the issue.

  4. Change your default browser
Try changing your default browser — for example, if you’re currently using Chrome, switch to Firefox or another supported browser.
This change has helped other users in the past, and you can always switch back afterward.

If the issue persists after trying all of the above, I recommend reaching out to our team directly through this secure form: Submit a request
