Resurfacing this, video settings are NOT visible in Design Mode, why? This menu only shows in the not Design mode ( no clue how it’s called haha)

Hi ​@Margot_Gabel, thanks for reaching out and apologies for the delayed reply! 

I brought this to the Slides team, and this is expected behavior. The primary reason is that in Figma Design, video settings are only shown in the Prototype tab, not Design. Since Figma Slides doesn’t have a Prototype tab, we don’t surface video settings in Design mode, for ease and consistency. 

Thanks for your answer ​@djv . I find it a strange behavior because I only use Figma Slides in Design mode, and I have to toggle to the other mode solely to change the settings on my video.

Strongly agree — I’ve been switching back and forth between design and slides mode to get it right.
Also, the defaults are the exact opposite of what I usually need (autoplayed, loop, no controllers). Is there any way to set that as a preference somewhere?
