Hello Figma Team,

We’ve been excited about the launch of Figma Sites and have been testing it as a potential solution for our company’s website.

The experience so far has been great so far but as we dig deeper, we’ve run into a few areas that seem limited today. We completely understand this is to be expected while in beta. But we’d like to get some clarity on a few critical items:

  • General Availability: When is Figma Sites expected to move out of beta and into full release?
  • Site Structure: At the moment, subfolder structures (e.g., website.com/feature/subfeature) aren’t supported. Is this planned, and if so, is there an expected timeline?
  • Redirects: It seems redirects are also not supported. Will redirect functionality (including handling of trailing slash versions) be added, and when? Are there any recommended interim solutions?
  • 404 Page: We also couldn’t find a way to create a custom 404 page. Is that capability available yet, or is it still on the roadmap?
  • Cookies & Tracking: Is cookie management planned, and what would be the recommended interim solution?
  • CMS and Blog Support: When is CMS functionality expected?

These points are central to our evaluation of Figma Sites as a solution. Any clarity you can provide on timelines, upcoming support, or suggested interim approaches would be very helpful.

Thank you for your guidance—we’re excited about the direction of the product and look forward to seeing it evolve.

👋 Hey there, thanks for checking out Sites!

General Availability
Unfortunately, I can’t share any dates, largely because it’s not about a certain set of features, but more about the quality and the overall value of the product. Today, Sites and the ability to publish websites is included in the Full seat and we don’t expect that to change. We also will not be charging for hosted websites until 2026 at the earliest.

Site Structure + Redirects + Custom 404
These are all highly requested features that we are trying to get on the roadmap in the very near term. Largely because we need to finish our work on the things below first. :-)

Cookies & Tracking
We are preparing a big Sites release for tomorrow (9/18) that will include the ability to add a cookie banner across your website. It’s our first iteration, so your customization options will be limited, but it will help to ensure your sites are compliant with regional laws.

CMS and Blog Support
We are in the final phase of alpha testing our new CMS and plan to release it into the public beta before the end of the year.
