Hi Figma team and users:

I’ve been annoyed for a long time about something that might be a feature but it feels like an usability issue.

When in Preview mode, the Toolbar menu disappears, but then show again as soon as you move the mouse. This creates some undesired situations like prototype sites’ menus getting hidden by the toolbar and unable interaction with the prototype’s menu.

Example pretending I am previewing a YouTube prototype:

As soon as the mouse is moved:

This could be easily fixed by just letting the toolbar stay showing and load the prototype AFTER instead of BEHIND the toolbar.

I KNOW there is a “Hide UI” option. That would be still useful in case we want to show it without the toolbar interfering, but sometimes I send the preview mode to clients so they can interact freely, sometimes I need the toolbar to show so they can add comments and they don’t know such “Hide UI” option is available, and I have to keep making kind of a “tutorial” for them every time.

This is, in my experience, an easy to fix usability issue, but would like to hear if you have the same issue as my team.
