I'm experiencing an issue with the brush tool in Figma's drawing environment.

I have a simple drawing tablet with a pressure sensor. When I was drawing, I noticed that the stroke was responding to pressure – the harder I pressed with my pen, the thicker the line became, which was great!

However, this functionality suddenly stopped working. Now, no matter how much pressure I apply, the stroke remains uniform.

Has anyone encountered this problem before, or does anyone know what might have happened or how to fix it?

Hi @Leonardo_Braga, thank for reaching out!

I’m going to check in with our team internally to see if this is expected behaviour or if something might have changed. I’ll follow up with you as soon as I have more information.

Really appreciate your patience in the meantime!

I have the exact same issue, while using an iPad with sidecar.

This would explain why it’s not working. Is it broken for sure?

The “variable width” feature with pressure sensitivity seems to be gone since about a month ago.

Although it didn’t work well on Windows (see post below), on MacOS it worked great. It seems they removed the feature altogether instead of just disabling it on Windows while they work on fixing it.

It would really be nice if they re-enabled this feature on MacOS.
