Figma Draw Brush Tool: Pressure Sensitivity Suddenly Stopped Working?

I have the exact same issue, while using an iPad with sidecar.

This would explain why it’s not working. Is it broken for sure?

The “variable width” feature with pressure sensitivity seems to be gone since about a month ago.

Although it didn’t work well on Windows (see post below), on MacOS it worked great. It seems they removed the feature altogether instead of just disabling it on Windows while they work on fixing it.

It would really be nice if they re-enabled this feature on MacOS.

If you’re still running into issues, could you share what device you’re using? This would explain why it’s not working.

Figma web with Wacom Intuos + Macbook Air M4. I don’t see any fixes working for me at my end. 

​@Gayani_S Hi there, I just found this thread after trying to use Figma Draw for the first time on my Surface Laptop Studio (1st gen) and being surprised the app doesn’t register pen pressure.

Any other info you need besides the device I am using?

Was the fix for pressure sensitivity submitted on the beta app or the the stable release app?

Update: unfortunately, I was not able to get a conclusive report on what’s going happening on my end. However, I’d request that everyone write into our support team to report how the pressure sensitivity is working (or not working appropriately) on your end.

Please do the following if you have not yet:

• Grab a copy of your console logs: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/19818634038935-Export-console-logs
• Fill out this form, and attach a copy of the logs.
• If there is a specific file you notice that seems to be noticeably worse, please share edit access to that file wit support-share@figma.com, and include the direct link to it. This is the specific support channel for files, and you won’t be charged. If you are unable to, or if it’s not really file- specific, no worries on doing that.

Let me know when any of you have been able to do that, and I’ll try to escalate the case for further assistance.

Well, since my last reply here, pressure sensitivity Just Works™ for me now.
I wonder if others are also seeing the same thing.

I would say though, that the pressure curve is not good. It seems it’s tuned to be overly sensitive, causing the stroke to become thicker sooner than I would expect. In normal usage, the strokes all look the same. On the right side, I went from barely touching the screen, to full pressure.

I suppose a pressure curve customisation setting is the next thing Figma could consider adding.
