I annotated a whole file for QA and then came back to it an none of the annotations are showing. I checked that the view > annotations is turned on, and ensured I was in dev mode and they only show up when I click on the item I annotated but disappear again when I un-click it.
Example ^ I have to click on the redline for the annotation to show up, but then it disappears.

Thanks for flagging this, and sorry you’re running into the issue! It’s definitely odd that annotations aren’t showing even when you have enabled it. (As a reminder, here’s the guide to hide/show the Annotation.)
I tried to reproduce it on my end, and it started working again after refreshing the tab—could you try that as well?
If the issue persists, try clearing the cache in the desktop app and/or browser, then force-quit and restart Figma. If it’s still not resolved, I recommend to reach out directly to the support team for further investigation: Submit a bug report
