Hello everyone,
I wanted to start a discussion around the role of sustainability in marketplace app development. Do you think eco-friendly practices (like carbon-neutral delivery, second-hand product focus, or ethical sourcing) could become a major differentiator for future marketplace apps? Would users actually choose a sustainable platform over a cheaper or faster one?

Yeah, I think sustainability can be a differentiator but only if it’s done right. Most people still pick cheaper or faster options, so eco-friendly features need to be built in naturally, not feel like extra effort.
Stuff like second-hand focus, carbon-neutral delivery, or showing your “impact” (like CO2 saved) could actually get traction if it’s seamless and rewarding. Gen Z especially seems to care more, so it might not replace price yet, but it’s definitely a growing edge.
Would you personally pick a sustainable app if it cost a bit more or took longer to deliver?
