Hello good Figmians! As stated in the title, I am unable to delete interactions. Meaning, even when I delete an interaction in “prototype” mode, and the prototype line no longer exists, the actual presented prototype still displays the interaction I had deleted.


I have tried:



  1. Closing and re-opening the prototype,

  2. Closing and restarting Figma,

  3. Clicking “inspect” on the element in question to make sure the interaction has been really deleted.

  4. Copy-pasting my design into a new Figma file,

    None of which have worked.

Quick question: do you have any of those connections attached to a Master component?


@Bruno_Figueiredo I appreciate the reply! Yes, I do, but I have also removed the interactions from the master component.

I want to delete the interaction on a specific instance but not on the main component.


I am goning throught the same issue I am using MUI for Figma and I am unable to replay color or remove interactions from an instants of a main component. What properties can be changed on an instant in Figma and what properties can’t be changed?

Do you want to remove the variant interactions on an instance? If so, could you please try these steps to see if it works?:



  1. Go to the Prototype tab

  2. Select the instance with variant interactions

  3. You will see the variant interaction listed in the Prototype tab. Click on the minus sign next to the variant interaction to remove it

The minus wasn’t available

I remember what have worked

Restart Figma → NO

Clear Figma cache + Restart OSX + Restart Figma → YES
