Opening a link to a Prototype always opens in the Browser, not the Desktop App?

If I click a link to open a Figma file, it opens in the Desktop App since I have selected the default setting “Open links in the app”. That seems to be working as intended.

However, when I open a link to a prototype in presentation mode, it opens in the browser.

There is NO option to open it in the desktop app - my browser doesn’t prompt me to do so, and I cant find any manual button in the Figma UI to do so.

Is this a bug, am I missing something?

Hey @AidenJLS, thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delayed reply!

Right now, prototyping links can only be opened in a supported browser. This is noted here:
