Question

Multiple Boolean with Single Component

Curious how to create a single component with multiple boolean (true and false) parameters?

So basically, you’re going to use both the hierarchy nav and the designer/inspector to perform this action unlike how you do it for a component with only two variants (1 being true the other being false).

After creating all your variants you’ll need to select each one at a time to do this. Use the hierarchy on the left-hand side and change the name to ‘whatevername=true’. Do this for each variant in the components series. Then jump to the designer panel and set the parameter for all the other variants except the one selected to false (more advanced usage allows you to set multiple trues)

I created a video to show folks incase they get lost or need a demo.

Hi @Justin_Clarke, I want to express my gratitude for sharing your impressive presentation. I am confident that it will benefit other members of the community.

Can you please consider sharing your file in this video with our community, if possible?
This will allow our community to experiment with the design file while following your tutorial on YouTube. Here’s a guide: Publish files to the Community

Also, just a quick note to let you know that I’ve changed the category to General Discussion.

Thanks again for helping to keep our community a great place!

Hey @Junko3 sure, i can push to the community. I’ve added a few more use cases (components to this file that weren’t in the video).
Also, I’ve added a card which has two TRUE states (this is intentional) which may be required on a project where you’re naming conventions are descriptive, yet simple, which will promote this (for example a card that has SOLID buttons(true) and RATING system(true).

Here’s the link to the file LINK HERE.
