Hey @Alexz549 — welcome to Figma Forum, and thank you for flagging this (and for including the screenshot!). I know how frustrating it can be when something as simple as copying slides doesn’t behave as expected.
From what I understand, you’ve created a presentation in Figma Design and are now trying to copy content into Figma Slides — but you’re getting stuck on the “Copying slides over…” message. I tested a few variations on my end (copying frames, components, and prototypes between files) and things worked as expected, so let’s narrow this down a bit more together:
- App version. When using the Figma Desktop App, can you confirm you’re running version 125.9.10 or later? (You can check under Figma → About Figma.)
- Steps to reproduce. Could you share the exact steps you take before the loop starts? Even small details (e.g. selecting from Layers panel vs. canvas) help.
- Content size. How many frames are you trying to copy over at once? Does selecting a smaller number, or omitting a specific frame allow it to work?
- Quick fixes. You can also try these additional steps from our Troubleshooting checklist → Try these quick fixes — they often resolve bugs right away.
Keep me posted on how things go with these checks and if the issue persists. 🙏🏼
I am experiencing the same issue.
I am running the Figma Desktop App version 125.9.10. Steps I take:
- Selecting the artboards (around 50 in total) but also experiencing the same issue with 10 e.g.
- Click the button ‘Copy to Figma Slides’
- Slides is being openend and I see the start screen (where I can search, start from scratch, select template).
- I close the screen and I don’t see my frames.
