Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on a project using Figma Make and have created a mockup that I plan to share with a client. However, I would like to disable or hide the chat history before sharing the link.
Is there a way to turn off the chat feature or prevent the client from seeing previous comments and discussions?
Any advice or workaround would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @NAKA,

I understand that you’re looking for a way to share your Figma Make file without exposing the AI chat history.

If you have a Full seat on a paid plan, one option to consider is publishing your Figma Make project as a functional prototype or web app.

When you publish, the AI chat history will not be included in the published version — viewers will only see the content of the published project.

Additionally, publishing allows you to add password protection to your project. This means you can share the published page URL and ensure that only people with the password can view your web app’s content.

You can set this up by clicking the “Make settings” gear icon in the upper-right corner of the Figma Make interface. For more details, please see: Publish, update, or unpublish a functional prototype or web app

For anyone on the Free Starter plan who comes across this post with a similar question, please note: To publish your project publicly, you’ll need to publish it to the Figma Community.

Currently, when a project is published to the Community, the conversation history is displayed if someone remixes your functional prototype or web app. You can learn more here: Publish a functional prototype or web app to the Figma Community

Thanks,

Is there a way to delete the original history of the AI chat/version history before handing over the Figma file to the client so that if they want to begin using the AI chat freshly for anything they want to add or take away to what you created for them? So that they don’t have see the entire history or have to comb through the entire version history for anything...I would like to be able to send it to them and they can begin a who new chat with the file.
