Hey @Cecilia_Marnero, thank you for reaching out!
Unfortunately you forgot to attach the screen recording. So that I have a bit more context, could you capture a quick video showing the entire app and how/when this behavior happens?
I am not quite sure if you’re running into a limitation. It’s not currently possible to add an on-hover and an on-click interaction to the same element, or nested elements, as the hover blocks further interactions.
This limitation is called out in Prototype interactions and animations:
You’re not able to combine On Click / On Tap with While Hovering, since the action for the first interaction will make the action from the second on that object unreachable once executed.
If possible feel free to share link to the file, and invite support-share@figma.com with “can edit” permission. Note that users with @figma.com emails on your team do not count towards your billing.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks Gayani! Here’s the video and more info about this: this is a variant of a component the button X is part of it but is with an absolute position.
Hey @Cecilia_Marnero, thanks for sharing the screen recording! I think it’s helpful to view this directly in the file. Are you able to provide a direct link to the file here, and invite support-share@figma.com with “can edit” permission so we can look into this further? Note that users with @figma.com emails on your team do not count towards your billing.
If you’re unsure on how to invite someone to a file, please follow these steps:
- Click the “Share” button at the top-right corner of the Editor
- In the next window, type support-share@figma.com into the text box
- Select the “can edit” permission option
Click the “Send invite” button
If you don’t want to share your file publicly you can also send me a DM and let me know under this post that you’re reaching out via DM.
Thanks!
