Hello there!
I am new to coding, figma make, and github. I have a prototype designed in Figma Make. I am wondering if anyone can help me save my work to github? Starting from having a published prototype to commit work to GitHub. Here’s what I’ve done so far.
1. Created a New GitHub repository for my prototype I created in Figma Make
2. Published my Figma Make prototype
3. Downloaded the code to a folder on my local computer

I appreciate any help! This is all very exciting stuff.

After downloading the code into a local folder on your computer, use an IDE software like VS Code, where you can edit and push the code to GitHub, see the link below:

You can also use it via command line using tools like Terminal without the software like VS Code, but personally, that is harder for beginners, so I don't recommend it.

Thanks for the post! And @giliard - always appreciate your contributions!

I've gone ahead and changed the category to "Suggest a feature" so our team can track this for future improvements.

Really value your insight on this - it's feedback like this that helps make Figma better!

Yes! I really need Figma Make integration with Github.

Agreed → Lovable at the moment does this and can prototype fairly quickly with GPT5 → if Figma make had the github connection it would dominate.

This feature would be really nice. Figma, along with its new AI-powered prototyping tool Figma Make, already offers excellent features for creating clean designs and interactive prototypes. Adding remote sync capabilities would make it a complete product for developers. How soon can we expect this?

I’m also awaiting the connect to GitHub feature. Well done Figma Make team!

To get this to be exceptional it will need to include the ability to “git” pull back into the figma make. Once a file is pulled into a project, it  will inevitably change when the app is being worked on. Unless you can get changes back into figma make you would never be able to get the most recent changes and your iteration system would broken
