For your information, you should technically be able to export any frame at x2 for PNG and JPG. If this doesn’t work for those formats, this might be a bug indeed.

In that case, if you can’t share publicly your file, I’d suggest to reach out directly to the support team here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Be sure to provide a link to your file and share it with support-share@figma.com to your affected file and send us its URL so we can try to reproduce it. Also, we would need a screenshot of the frame you’re trying to export so we can identify it.

Hmm this is odd, it works on my end. Can you please share a video recording so we can check the steps you did to export? Did you get any error message? And is it happening in your browser, desktop app or both?

Thanks! Yes, I’ve recorded a video. I don’t get any errors… And I do it in Figma desktop App. The file is more than 8 MB, that’s why I’ve used Google Disk for the link: Figma Export (?) - Google Drive

Ahh sorry, I get confused! Thanks for sharing the video. From what I see in your video, this is an expected behavior.

As you can see, the visual size of an image exported at 2x is not increased if you import it back into Figma. This is because Figma assumes that images with a DPI of 144 will be used in designs for high-density screens and automatically scales them in half to accommodate.
