Components are not working

Hey @Luiz_Eduardo_Andreolla, I can see that you’ve already filed a support ticket. I am going to share the outcome of the ticket here in the forum for community members experiencing similar issues.

If possible please share a screen recording with the support team. Please include the whole window, with the properties and layers panels in view and relevant layers expanded, and select any layers you’re having trouble with so we can check any relevant settings. Support use these videos to try and reproduce the issue in their own files and so showing all steps needed to reproduce the behavior is helpful.

I’m having a similar problem, my icons have variables (ex: Chevron - up, down, left, right), and I can’t swap between the variables, it shows a list similar to what the parent component would have, and when I try to swap the component it shows the list but clicking does nothing. Detaching the component makes the thing work again but I use a design system, we’re not supposed to detach it.

Are you able to share a screen recording with us?

Are you seeing any warnings and misconfigured props (indicated by a (!) on the component set in the property panel), this prevents the component from publishing and updating as expected.
Can you try to publish a small update, like adding or editing the description, to all of the variants in the component set (not the top level set) at once to help the connected files update the set to the latest version of all states.
Also, please try to run the ‘Repair component connections’ command on an affected instance, and then ‘Regenerate all instances’.

Hi Gayani, we had to recreate the component to make it work, I don’t have any recordings but I’ve been having issues with instances all the time. When I come across this problem again I will update this thread with information.

I had a problem like this happen again, an instance within another instance just refuses to accept overrides. I have a video but the project can’t go public, is there somewhere I can sed this video to?
