Good day! How can i clone or copy node? I want get selection nodes from page (currentPage.selection) Clone selection nodes and group Export group to image and submit image to REST API url Or is there another way, to get one image from selection nodes?
I’m new to design tools so maybe I just don’t get it yet, but I’m trying to get a png from a few layers. I tried selecting all the layers I want and exporting that as a png. The result from doing that is a zip of separate layers in separate files instead of a png of all the layers combined. Is there a way to do this other than taking a screenshot of my assets in Figma?
This option doesn’t exist for code block contrary to other kind of nodes.
Figma desktop app - macOS So, first of all for me the check for updates feature never worked. I click on it and nothing would happen. The only exception to this was when I actually checked for updates after a fresh install for the app. I usually just downloaded the latest version and then installed it manually. Now, for a while the new versions available won’t install anymore and the app gets broken. I tried everything: overwriting, fresh install. Same issue. Here’s what happens: I copy the app into the Applications folder. I run the app. I get this progress window: After that’s done, the app is broken: When I open the broken app I get this: I tried this a couple or times in the past month or so… same result. Anybody got a fix for this? I’m currently stuck at version 97.7 which is the last one that works on my mac. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I didn’t find any posts on this topic, so I’m asking for some help. Today, a couple of hours ago, I started Figma on Windows 10 and it said there was an update available, so I installed it immediately. And since then I can’t open the program. When I tried to open the program an error window appeared. So I uninstalled Figma and tried to install it again. And now I can’t even install it. The same error window appears. (Even when I try to install it). What can I do? I’m working with system fonts so I can’t work on the browser (in the browser it works fine, it seems to be a problem with the Windows app). This is the alert that appears: I tried to delete the AppData “Figma” folder, but nothing happens. I did that because I found some post online (on another site) that talked about electron apps and how they sometimes fail with that specific error and possible ways to fix it. But it didn’t work. I don’t know what to do anymore. I needed to work on a project ASAP. If anyone can

Hi every body, I am new user of Figma (under Firefox), and already love it… But, I have an issue width shortcut : When showing my work to my boss, I would like to remove the toolbars / panels. As there is no key “” on french keyboard (you need to press AltGr + 8), I can’t hide the panel with the "Ctrl + " combinaison. And if I use the menu (burger > View > Show/hide UI), it works, but I have no way to get panels back !! Becauseevent the burger menu is hiden :-/ (other than refresh the page, wich is not very convenient). Any idea or other shortcut that would work ? Thanks in advance Arnaud. Hi All, I’m new to Figma and have a couple questions. Do clients have to create a Figma account to view a file? Or is there another option. I have some design “scraps” on my canvas that I may need to use later. Can I share my Prototype/File without the client seeing my “scraps?” In other words, they would only see the Frames or Prototype (like when you share a Prototype in XD)? Thank you for your time! If designers publish updates to the design library main file and some others designers in a meantime are working on side branch does the side branch merge override those past done main file changes or how the past and future come together?
When I change the state of a nested component and If that nested component changes sizes. When I create an instance of that main component, it will not adjust the size, even with auto layout. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. See gif:
Hi All, I am trying to create a new icon, based on an existing icon. So, what i need is for the intersection of the two icons to be removed in only the lower icon. I’ve tried the Figma options such as Union, Subtract, Exclude, but it doesn’t get me what I want. And it needs to be transparent (what I made green in the example could be either light or dark bg) Can anyone help with how to do this in Figma please!

Hey guys! I have rendered a transparent Webm video and want to use it as main element for the landing page. How can i do that? I saw that you can upload videos from youtube using Anima but the video i have is transparent and Webm so it wouldnt work i imagine. any help please? thanks!
The company I work for has a Figma license. We also work with consultants that use their own license and they have their own Design library. Right now I’m creating a duplicate of their Design library to be able to work with it under our Figma license. Is there a way for us to use their Design library file by using “Libraries” from their company domain? If that would be possible, we would get all their new updates and we would not have to worried about links breaking to components and styles. Using external libraries, is it possible?
Hi, One of my files has disappeared from my project. I found the file in my Recent tab so I tried moving it into my project but I get “You don’t have permission to remove files from this project.” FYI, my permission level is Owner. For now, I duplicated the file and moved the copy in my project and it’s working fine. But I’d like to know why this could be happening or the solution to move the original file. Thanks

It seems I saw some article a few days ago about this but I can’t seem to find it again… Is there an easy way to wrap text around an image in a frame? For example: I think the image placeholder in that mobile page is also a frame (the page itself is a frame and the placeholder is a frame). The text is also in a frame I named “text box”. Anyhoo… I fiddled around with auto layout a bit but was unable to achieve the result. How can I make an expanded version of that page where the text wraps the image placeholder and flows below the image placeholder? You know, like after you click the “more” link the text expands and wraps the image.
Hi, Is it possible to set the height of a child frame inside a vertical auto-layout frame to “Hug Content”? It seems setting layoutGrow via plugin is equivalent to setting the Resizing for the primary axis in GUI: _title.layoutGrow = 0; // "fixed height" _title.layoutGrow = 1; // "fill container" Thanks!
