Branching & Variants: Renaming and Adding Properties don't get merged into main file

Hey awesome peeps,

we had this problem several times and we don’t know if we use it the wrong way or if it’s a bug:
We created a branch from our library. We already had several components in there which we combined to variants. We renamed the properties and values in a way that suits us, then merged the branch. Sadly, the renaming wasn’t saved and was the same as before, when we created the variant.

Any tips or tricks?

Having similar issue, trying to use branches to create new variants (with unique property values) but if another branch is merged the “Update from main file” will only let you choose from MAIN/BRANCH and not merge them together.

Can we not merge/update changes within a component?
