Hi there! I am attempting to create interactions between variants but when I try to connect two variants, I notice it’s not connecting to the frame but rather inside it. I’m also not seeing the “Change To” interaction that I’m seeing in the tutorial videos. Please let me know what I can do. Thank you very much!
So according to the new update notes of Figma you can now: ** Move components: You can now move published components and component sets between files, without breaking links to instances in your design system. This will make it easier to split large libraries up into smaller files or move published components to new files.*Figma But is it just me or I don’t know how to use that feature, I don’t see anywhere a place where you can move a component in between libraries while keeping links to instances? Has anyone tried it? How do you do it?
Hi, I’m currently using Figma browser version on the educational plan and trying to simply restore the file from my version history. When I do so, permission on my file suddenly changes to view only so I cannot take it from there and edit. Yyy? Its my own file. Last thing I’ve done was creating massive icon set variants and got the warning it can slow down the performance, then I realized its all wrong wanted to move back and stuck totally because I lost ability to edit…Would be super thankful for your advice…Best Beta
Reopen issue-topic from Spectrum: “After Delay” doesn’t work if “Navigate To” is triggered from Overlay March 5, 2020 at 8:39pm I have a page (A) button which calls an overlay frame (a dialog). This dialog has a button that calls “navigate to” to another page (B). Page B has an After Delay action to open another overlay (notification pop-up), but it doesn’t work. No matter what value I use for the animation, it doesn’t seem to trigger. It also doesn’t animate the Smart Animate and Dissolve transitions. I believe this has something to do with the fact that under the hood the overlay in page A calls “Close Overlay” on itself before calling the “Navigate to” action? Either way, I can’t get this to work, and I have already tried reloading the prototype, opening and closing it, opening and closing Figma, restarting Windows… And i confirm this issue.
Hi everyone, Just wondering if there’s a way to do 3D transform in Figma, similar to the one in Adobe XD. I’ve tried Vectary 3D and Fig3D plugin, but didn’t get XD type of 3D transformation I was looking for. Any help please.
Hi everyone, i am new to figma and i need help with organizing the prototype flow. I finished the design for a mobile app and connected the flow, however although when the connection points are clicked, the process flows smoothly, but on the preview page, the page numbers are not correct. e.g. when i click on “sign up” which is on page 1, it goes to the sign-up form on page 4. How do i rearrange the preview to make that sign-up form to be page 2. Thanks.
On my team, I share the design link to the rest of the team. Before with InVision, I could save changes from Sketch so the shared link would update to the newest changes. Do Fiama share links work the same? Sometimes Im making tweaks in meetings in real-time and we can see the changes. Can Figma do this?
Wanting to Restore an old version and edit it, but its only giving me a View Only file. What gives? See screenshot. Next to filename: “View Only” I’m logged in. ?? Thanks
I am going through Figma Basics and in point 3. Components, there is instruction to override images and text to make it look like example on the right side. The thing is that instruction doesn’t specify on how to replace images in component instance with image that is already in the file. Am I missing the point or should I just detach instance and then simply replace it? I know that there are multiple solutions to that task, but I am wondering why you can replace image in instance with image from your drive, but not with the image that is already in the file?
Hello. I have an interactive component that changes size on tap. I stacked the component in a page using auto layout. When I tap on the component, the size change doesn’t show in the prototype. In the example below I show what I mean. I’m not sure if this is the intended behaviour. If there is a workaround please let me know. Thanks!

Hi there, my AUEX plugin stopped working out of nowhere "Manifest error: Missing editorType in manifest. Specify one or both of ["figma,“figjam”] Tried reinstalling everything but nothing… also cant find anything about it on the internet… any ideas?
Hi, I want to know more about pricing. I’m running a small business and I have 2 designers work with me. If we purchase 3 Professional plans for each, can we collaborate and work together even on the same prototype, as a team. Or do we need to go for 3 Organization plans?

In the same frame, I have a slider and three cards with overlay. Normally, slider is working. But it stops when I hover a card and opened an overlay. In the photo below overlay opened but slider stopped:
Hi everyone. I am new to UX design and Figma. I am stuck and I need help. When I am previewing my prototype, I get stuck at a particular frame and cannot get past it. Clicking on the CTA button in this frame is supposed to take me to the next frame but instead, it takes me to the top of the same frame. I had to cancel all the interactions and connect them again (I have done this twice now) yet the problem persists. Please, what do I do? Thank you.
In Adobe Photoshop you can use Font entire Glyphs and select your desired character . how can i use it in Figma Desktop app ?
I have successfully used interactive components before with virtually no problems, however over the past 6 weeks or so I’ve been unable to use them at all. If I try and link between different states in my master components, it won’t allow me. Originally, I was able to select ‘Change To’, and everything worked fine. Now, it won’t let me do it. Even if I go back to the older files where I successfully used interactive components, I can see that everything is configured correctly. However, if I break this successful link and try to reconfigure it, I face the same issue. I thought this might be a temporary glitch, but it’s been happening for over a month now and really interrupting my workflow. What’s even more frustrating is I reached out to Figmas support team 6 weeks ago and have had one not so helpful reply since then. Not sure if this is related, but when I’m in the ‘Prototype’ tab, I can no longer see the ‘interactive components’ option, where as previously I could. See video demo he
I have a question. I am signed in for the beta version but the problem that I’m facing is that, while prototyping, I select ‘while hovering’ and then ‘change to’ and it works for some components but it doesn’t for some of them (even though the variants work fine when I change them in design but in prototype, the option is disabled.
I originally made “Flow 2” first, but now I want “Flow 1” to play in the prototype mode first (see the screenshot). How do I switch the flow order?

I’m using Brave for Figma browser and the installed fonts just don’t work on this browser, they just don’t show up even Figma Agent was installed. This doesn’t happen on Google Chrome. Does anyone else uses the browsers that are not chrome-based and encounters the same issue?
Using Figma Beta on macOS. I prefer using Figma maximized. Received an update earlier today. When the application window isn’t maximized, everything is as expected — I have visible access to the hamburger menu, and separate tabs I work with. After the update, on hitting maximize, the tabs are gone. It’s only the hamburger menu and the tool bar. To switch to another open project or to go to the project browser, I have to restore the window from maximized, make the switch, then maximize again. Why the change? Is there a shortcut we now need to know to cycle between tabs? Pretty sure a shortcut exists, but haven’t been using it. Between point & click or guessing the position & cycle between tabs, I’ll always choose the former. If you are proceeding with this release, please consider an application preference to rollback to the previous window layout.
I have the similar problem. I exported my frame (size: 860x11654) to PNG using 1X or 2X. But my frame is being exported with a smaller resolution (size: 302x4096). Where could I find solutions to this?
