Happens all the time… it’s so annoying. I have an Apple M2…
Hey @Dorena,
Have you updated to the latest macOS? Most users in this thread had their previous issue solved after updating to Ventura 13.3:
Please upgrade to the latest MacOS version. Apple might have solved the bug: “Resolves an issue where Trackpad gestures may occasionally stop responding”
Hi, thanks for your reply, but I am using the latest MacOS version and also the latest Figma version
Thanks for confirming!
We’ll see if we can update our bug with Apple and inform them that users are still having trouble on the latest macOS.
That said, are you able to reliably trigger the problem? Have you noticed any patterns when the problem occurs? Any info our team can reproduce and pass along to Apple will be helpful!
Thanks. No, it happens randomly, but only with Figma, no other programs I use.
Thanks for the context. We’ve moved your replies to a new topic, so we can proactively monitor any new issues with macOS Ventura 13.3 in the community.
Hi everyone! I’m using the latest version of macOS and Figma, but still the bug exist. The problem randomly appears and disappears by itself.

We’ve already communicated with Apple, and sorry to hear you’re still having issues.
You mentioned that it happens at random, so if you’re able to reliably trigger the problem or notice any patterns when the problem occurs, please let us know here. Any info our team can reproduce and pass along to Apple will be helpful!
I still have this issue and it’s extremely frustrating. I don’t know how many times I need to quit and reopen for it to work. It’s honestly bringing down the productivity and obstructive to creative thinking process.
Hi @aishwarya.gopal,
We’ve moved your reply to another existing, newer topic, so we can proactively monitor any new issues. Are you using the most recent macOS Ventura 13.3?
If so, are you able to reliably trigger the problem or do you notice any patterns when the problem occurs? Any info our team can reproduce and pass along to Apple will be helpful!
Ugghhhhh this is too frustrating!
Sorry for the frustration, @Shambhavi_Deshpande!
Are you using the latest macOS? Do you notice any patterns when the problem occurs? We’re working with Apple to find a solution, so any real context you can provide will help.
I’m experiencing this issue as well - it’s really frustrating! I’ve tried to disable and enable pinch-to-zoom in mac settings a few times but it doesn’t work.
Same issue, on an M1 with Monterey. Happens several times a day and is very disrupting
Hi @Tarah_Srethwatanakul and @Catalina_Silvart_Weller,
Sorry for the frustration, @Shambhavi_Deshpande!
We’ve moved your replies to a newer thread. Are you using the latest macOS? Most users in the previous thread had their issues resolved after updating to the latest macOS.
If you are using macOS Ventura 13.3.1, do you notice any patterns when the problem occurs? We’re already working with Apple to find a solution, so any additional context you can provide will help.
I have issues with this everyday and have the latest software. The only thing that fixes the ability to pinch and zoom on the trackpad is resetting my system preferences in apple menu. Multiple times a day I cannot zoom in figma with the trackpad.
Same; all updated from macOS side and still have to go several times a day to Settings > Trackpad and On and Off this Zoom thing until magically just works… Any news on this issue?
