I’m encountering an issue where I’m not receiving the latest update for the Figma desktop app on my computer. I’ve tried a few troubleshooting steps but haven’t been successful in resolving the issue.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Checked for Updates Manually: Used the Help menu to check for updates, but it didn’t find any new versions.
Restarted the App: Closed and reopened the Figma desktop app.
Reinstalled the App: Uninstalled and then reinstalled the latest version from the Figma website.
Details:
Operating System: Windows 10
Current Figma Version: 124.3.2 Issue: I am currently using an older version of the app and cannot access new features or improvements mentioned in recent updates.
Questions:
Has anyone else experienced this problem with updating the Figma desktop app?
Are there any additional steps I should try to resolve this issue?
Is there a known delay or issue with updates that might explain why I’m not receiving them?
I would appreciate any advice or solutions you can provide. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hey @Alok , thanks for reaching out to the community. I confirm you have the latest Figma version: 124.3.2
‘The latest update’ : can you please specify which update? Are your referring to the UI3 and Figma AI?
If so, to give you some context, the waitlist for Figma AI has closed, but we are excited to share that we have begun rolling out UI3 incrementally to all Figma users with the goal of ensuring that every user has access to UI3 over the coming months. This approach will allow us to monitor the performance of UI3, gather feedback from users, and make adjustments based on that feedback before expanding access to a larger audience.
Please note that Figma AI will be introduced separately from UI3 going forward. Once you’ve been granted access to UI3, you’ll see a modal in Figma inviting you to explore the redesigned UI. When you have been granted access to Figma AI, you will see a new button in the toolbar.
Thank you for your patience and to have more information, you can check our article here:
Thank you for your response and for confirming that I am using the latest version of Figma (124.3.2).
Regarding the update I mentioned, I was referring to both UI3 and Figma AI. I appreciate the clarification on the rollout process and the distinction between the two features. It’s helpful to know that UI3 is being released incrementally and that Figma AI will follow separately. I’ll keep an eye out for the notifications as you described.
Thanks again for the detailed explanation and for providing the article link for further information.
I also have this problem and it makes me very angry!
I use Figma with two accounts on the same device. In one account, I see the updated UI, and in the other, the old interface. Both accounts are running the same version of the program.
The problem is that it is difficult for me to work with the old interface, and I urgently need to have access to the updated UI for both accounts to continue my work effectively.
I have already purchased the paid version of Figma, but unfortunately, I still don’t have access to the updated UI3 and AI features. My account only shows the “Learn about UI3 + AI” option, but there is no way to join the waitlist or get these features.
