I went ahead and found all the related entries to this issue, and added backlinks to keep all feedback condensed. It’s been over a month and this feature has disrupted how a lot of designers work.

Hey all thanks for sharing this feedback. This is actually on our radar to bring back! There are, however, a few aspects of this feature that we hope to first improve/refine before we do, but will keep this thread updated when possible. Thanks!

Hey @Ivan_Fedorov, thanks for looping me in! We checked with our team, and this change was intentional with the launch of Font picker. We’re already looking into an alternative for canvas previews, but we don’t have a timeline to share on it.

As mentioned a few days ago, our team has already been working on this. While we wish it would only take a few hours, the team can’t promise a specific timeline but please know that it’s coming!

HELP!!! Might there exist some kind of workaround, some way to trick Figma into previewing fonts? We’re bashing our skulls in not being able to preview fonts. The ability to preview fonts in the word-processing realm was standardized 30 years ago, which in tech-years is 3,000 years ago. If the person hired to manage the word-processing feature put down whatever he or she is currently doing, realistically how long would it take this person to flip the fonts over to be displayed in their own font?…

[image] Hey, Can we make this font view look like Photoshop’s text field + dropdown? It helps the user to copy the font and doesn’t disrupt the old user flow.
