In Figma elements without both a fill and a stroke become invisible.
When I saw the outline mode introduction in a recent update I thought it was a perfect tool to address this issue but interestingly paths without an assigned fill and stroke don’t show up in outline mode either.
This happens often in illustration when you remove an anchor point in a filled vector and the path becomes open, if it didn’t have a stroke assigned it just goes away and the only way it becomes apparent in context is to drag-select it. Clicking where the border is supposed to be will not select it and nothing happens when you hover over it as it does in other software.
I suggest posting this as a feature idea. It is obviously what outline mode is for, and this seems like an overlooked detail on their part.
