After the left draft menu was moved, numerous files without folders disappeared.Where can I see them? please help me
Hey @Monica16, I understand how worrying it can be to lose track of your files, especially after recent changes in the Figma interface. Let’s go through a few steps to help locate them:
To cover some grounds, please check if:
- The file is in your deleted folder (Open your drafts > click the deleted page). If so, right-click the file to restore it
- The file may have been moved by a teammate who was also on that file
- You’re logged into a Figma account that should have access to this file. You can switch accounts via the top-right and top-left corners of the file browser.
1. Could you confirm if these files were drafts?
For users on a Starter or Professional team, we’ve relocated where your drafts live. You’ve been asked to move your drafts into a team space.
Just to clarify, with the recent change we made, the contents of the side bar view will now depend on the team you’ve selected in the drop down.
2. Could you double-check the team picker in the side bar and see if you can locate all your teams there?
3. Can you also please check in the “Deleted” section of your “Drafts to Move” folder:
4. Do you happen to have any file links of those missing drafts?
You may be able to find the URL from:
- Your web browser’s history.
- Any past conversations where you might have shared the file with colleagues.
- The ‘File > Recently Closed’ menu if you are using the desktop app.
To better assist you with this issue providing the URL(s) of the missing drafts would be incredibly helpful for further investigation.
I appreciate your help, and I’ll do my best to get this resolved quickly!
