I am using the free version and also a paid version (Professional team license).
I have seen this message coming up lately and it is bothering me. I am not able to create large files with many screens.
I used to work in an organisation where we used to have large files and I have never seen this message.
Is this something that comes in free version and professional license alone and not in the organisation and enterprise plans?
Please help…
Hi there! This memory usage alert can appear on all plans when you run into memory limitations.
This happens if you’re working with large files or libraries in Figma. As a reminder, every browser has its own active memory limit. This can differ across devices, but the general understanding is there’s an active memory limit of 2GB per browser tab .
For the context, when you reach more than 75%
of your memory limit, Figma show you this red alert tile in the left sidebar. You cannot dismiss this alert.
You can still make changes to the file, but we recommend taking immediate action to protect your work. Failure to reduce memory usage now will increase the possibility of data loss.
In order to reduce memory, you can follow these tips in this article:
I hope this helps!
You need to start compressing the images you import, my friend. No reason why you should have large files.
