Ability to define & inspect light/dark mode colours

Currently, we visually define light/dark mode colour combinations in an art board. The colours are individually set in the colour palette and the only way to distinguish them is by name. Our current workaround is to duplicate the colours in the palette and name them after the relevant light/dark combo names, but they aren’t functionally linked.

It would be great if the smarts were available to connect a light mode to a dark mode colour, so that when our developers inspect colours in designs they would be able to quickly identify the light/dark combo (would be handy for us designers too).

Also, would be awesome if this linked to creating light vs dark mode variants of components to make that process more efficient.

Would anyone else find this useful, or have any additions to this idea? What do you do as a workaround?
