I enjoy using Sections in FigJam to keep various flows organized. I do have an issue with the Sections though… they are opaque and cover up the dot grid, which I am using constantly for alignment and planning what I am laying out.
My current workaround is to create a flow and then create a Section to contain it AFTER it is completed. Then, if I need to edit the flow, I move the Section away, make the edits and move the Section back again.
It would be much simpler and more straightforward if the dot grid would be able to be shown above the Section or if the Section fill was able to be transparent.
Has anyone come up with a solution for managing these opaque Sections?
Currently, it seems that there isn’t an option to display the dot grid on the FigJam board above the created sections or to adjust the opacity of the section color.
I’ve also looked through our community for any plugins that might offer this functionality, but haven’t come across anything yet.
I really appreciate you sharing your use cases and workaround. It sounds like this could be a valuable feature request. Please consider posting this in the “Share an idea” category.
If you’d like, I can reopen and merge your post with this existing thread you mentioned: Grid for new FigJam sections This would help gather votes/comments from community members who are also eager to see this idea come to life. Please let us know if you agree with this.
Thanks again for reaching out! We always welcome input from other community members! If you have any additional workarounds or suggestions, please feel free to share.
Hello @Junko3. Thanks for the info and offer. Yes, merging this into the existing thread sounds like a good idea. I also created an identical post in the ‘Share an Idea’ category. Hopefully, something will emerge between both of those. Thanks!
