Question about flattening a design

Honestly, I don’t know how to phrase this and the title might not be entirely correct, so please bear with me.

I’m quite new to this app. I designed a random logo to try some things out.

The problem is removing the white background from the group, since I get this:

And I need to have the background removed in order to use it with colors other than white. So my question is, is there any way to keep the shape of the logo intact while removing the fill?

P.S. I’m pretty sure this can be done in 2 seconds in Illustrator, but I’m currently trying to explore the possibilities of Figma, so allow me.

You’ll probably need to use the boolean operations to combine these shapes. You could also redraw with the pen tool and then flatten/outline the stroke at the end. If you’re willing to share a file, I’d be happy to jump on and give you an example.
