It has begun

As great as figma’s recently released new features are, existing features or ways of working are getting more and more degraded by new features, at least in my recent personal perception.

Just one thing again: Coming from Sketch, I loved being able to adjust width and height through matematic input on values. What was fantastic in Sketch back then, but never implemented in Figma, is the additional alignment of the anchor point (e.g. 160px + 60 r/l/c (right/left/center) by input.

If I now want to change the width with a mathematical input, e.g. 160+60, the + opens a context menu regarding variables.

It seems to me that all these intuitive little things are neglected or disappear. This strikes me especially as someone who doesn’t work on the basis of extensive design systems.
