If I shared a project, would other users be able to see my email address?

lets say I shared a project and set the visibility to

Anyone with the link

and posted the link in a public group

would anyone be able to see my private mail that I signed up my account with?

I am really concerned about privacy but I still want to use the share future

hope the answer Is the supported by a link.

thx : )

Hi there,

Thanks for the post! Other will be able to see your Figma username and avatar if they view the comments you’ve made, but your email address remains private when you just share.

But, if you invite specific users via email to collaborate on the project instead of sharing a public link, those users will see your email address in the invitation email they receive.

I hope this helps!

Thanks,
Toku

what If I set the access to
Only people invited to this file and then share the link directly not via email ? would they then be able to see my email ?

also if they Ask to edit and I accept , would my email still stay private in both these cases?

Thanks for your reply.

Based on my testing, Figma does not reveal the file owner’s email address in either case.

I hope this clarifies things!

Thanks,
Toku

I think i found that it gets exposed in some request response.

For quick verification can you share a file link here and set it to…and confirm the invite.

Only people invited to this file

And i will check if i can see the owner’s email address.

Thx

Unfortunately, I’m afraid I can share a file link. Sorry about that. Could you try using your test account, please?

Thanks,
Toku

I think I found that it gets leaked in some request response

where do I report it ? is it a bug ?or simply intended behavior?

If it seems a bug, please follow this article:

Thanks!
Toku

I reported it on your H1 page

where do I send the report link for you to take a look?
