Drag & drop images straight into mask?

Hello designers!

Quick question: Is there any setting that would allow me to drag and drop images straight into a mask? (So I don’t have to make extra steps such as selecting mask along with new image, and then doing shortcut for mask)

I was trying to look on Google or in settings but couldn’t find anything.

Unfortunately, no. The best workaround I could suggest is the quick key for copying (Command-Option-C) and pasting (Command-Option-V) fill styles from one object to another. That at least bypasses the need to recreate a new mask.
