Documentation enhancements

For our design system, we always use the description and documentation links to explain the usage of controls, give hints and link to implementation samples or visual design specs. Unfortunately, the documentation features in Figma are pretty basic. Only one link is supported and the description field also doesn’t allow any formatting like bold text, italic, underline or rendering links. Right now, we have to put in additional links as plain text into the description field (as a workaround).

It would be great if the documentation features in Figma could be enhanced in the future so that it’s easier to add context to controls and their usage.

Agreed, the documentation of components is becoming more and more important, and with ideally having Figma as the single source of truth having the full documentation there would be preferable.

So we would like to request: rich text formatting for component documentation.
