When someone is tagged in a comment, Figma displays the name of the user without the “@” symbol which may cause the comment to come off as rude and impolite when the tagged person is senior to you in age or designation. Using honorifics for someone senior to you is a common tradition in Asian countries but adding honorifics after each tag sounds cumbersome. Displaying the “@” symbol in front of the name can help further exemplify the point that the text is a tag and in turn will not be impolite to use without honorifics.
