Hi guys!
I tried following this tutorial/tip: Placing objects over Auto layout frames - YouTube but no matter what I do, I can’t manage to place an object over the frame without it snapping into the auto-layout.
Any definitive way to do this?

Referring to the video in your link, do you notice that the autolayout frame is inside another non-autolayout frame? What happens is he moves the circle inside the non-autolayout frame, after that he holds down spacebar to make it stay within that frame but visually on top of the autolayout frame.
There are ways to position things anywhere within autolayout frames but they are a bit hacky.
