Better back <> forward navigation / Pin locations in a file to navigate to them quickly

I need the option to save certain places in a file as favorites so that I can quickly access them. And also the possibility of navigating forward and backward, like in a browser.

I really like the Return to instance feature. And I need the same for the rest of the places in the file. So I can work on one part of the file, then another, and then quickly go back to the first one, without searching.
It’s also handy when I have a certain place I often go back to during work - like particular references, components, a copy of the task text, etc.

Hey @beltone – sorry if I misunderstood, but when if you right click > go to main component, there should be a toast message at the bottom that allows you to return to the instance you were working on.

The toast message should also stay up unless you click somewhere on the canvas (that way you can visit another file or window without it being gone). If you click on the main component again, the toast will reappear. This probably isn’t the best solution, but would that address what you’re looking for?

Hello again! @beltone I agree. There’s another suggestion just like this.

Traversing really large design files has become a way of life. Backwards and Forwards from where you have been to where you are going.

Pins that will help you find where you were.

Yes @beltone – it’s like Google Maps – lists of pins. You are my new best friend.

Thanks! I retitled your topic to be a bit clearer with the request

Looking for a similar feature as well, we sometimes have to navigate back and forth between 2 position on a very large canvas, having these location pins would be super helpful!
