Detach instance disappear in Figma!

Hi there,

I’m trying to detach my Figma master component. But it seems there is no "Detach Instance"option anymore when i select the component and right click. Does anyone run into the same issue? how could I solve this problem? thank you!

Hey @Green_Nong, thank you for reaching out!

It’s never been possible to detach a Master Component, only Instances
If you want to detach / revert something that’s been a Component for a while we suggest you:

  1. Create an Instance of the new Component.
  2. Detach the Instance from the Component.
  3. Delete the Original Component.

Feel free to create a feature request post if you would like the option to detach a master component, community members can share their interest and vote: Share an idea - Figma Community Forum. Our team can look into this for improvement.
